  1. He’s quite the shining star isn’t he? LOL

    Out of morbid curiosity, I’d like to see a Blumenthal/McMahon debate… :)

  3. I wrote a letter to the editor of The Bulletin on this very point. I would like to see Blumenthal debate any other candidate on this issue. Now, you can bash me. You can try and personally attack me. But one thing you cannot do is refute what is “The will of the people.” Those that know me, know that I will never, EVER, retreat from attack. Sorry folks, but I took an oath. I said that I was willing to die for my country rather than see THE UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION, including the rights of the 1st and 2nd Amendment to be CONFISCATED by a group of 5th Column traitors. I am presently working for a consortium of people that are prepared to declare total war on any politician, Republican or Democrat, that refuses to obey the sworn statement THEY MADE when they were sworn in. “TO DEFEND THE CONSTITUTION.” Scott Brown was our first victory. I assure you there will be many more. We had a saying where I came from. It was, when we say the words “I PROMISE YOU”, it meant there was was no time to debate, just trust me, I’ve got your back.” Well, I PROMISE YOU that my group is not playing games, we’ve already won several battles, and we are far from done. To RICH: I’m going after Blumenthal and Ned Lamont. I already helped beat Lamonts ass once so twice just strengthens my resolve. Today’s polls show that Blumenthal lost 15 points in the polls in the last week. He may think he’s invincible, but there are many more weeks to come and HE HASN’T HAD TO ANSWER TO OUR GROUP YET. But he will. We already have more cash on hand than he does.

  4. And by the way, I don’t talk bullshit. Polls, January 14th, REAL CLEAR POLITICS: Connecticut Senate – McMahon vs. Blumenthal Quinnipiac Blumenthal 64, McMahon 23 Blumenthal +41
Connecticut Senate – Simmons vs. Blumenthal Quinnipiac Blumenthal 62, Simmons 27 Blumenthal +35
POLLS, January 19th. (JUST 5 DAYS LATER): Connecticut Senate – McMahon vs. Blumenthal Daily Kos/R2000 Blumenthal 56, McMahon 34 Blumenthal +22
Connecticut Senate – Simmons vs. Blumenthal Daily Kos/R2000 Blumenthal 54, Simmons 35 Blumenthal +19
(The noose is tightening. IT WILL get tighter). From Blumenthal +41 to Blumenthal +19 in just 5 days? Where did we see this before? Why, I believe it was in Massachusetts !

  5. Nick,

It is unfortunate that so much cash is necessary to spread the truth. You’re quite the prolific author. Email me @ rich@freenorwich.com and we can add you as a contributor/author here.

I don’t dislike Dick Blumenthal, rather, I dislike his positions…..err what are his positions?

Atty General Blumenthal seemed to be an instant success when he announced his candidacy as a senator, but since then we’ve seen the Coakley sinking. I see that as an indicator of exactly what is going to happen here in Connecticut. At this point, I’m most interested in seeing a real competition of ideas between our four or so senate candidates. Let’s see them fight it out in ideas, not BS. As I’ve said before, I’m window shopping both them and our house candidates. May the best (and hopefully) the most original leadership win over the primaries in preparation for the big race.

Yea great NIck… you put Lieberman in office who thinks we should have Cap and Trade. Lieberman also voted for health care reform. Still proud of yourself???

  7. Nick,

I love the way YOU claim victory for the Scott Brown win. Way to come in AFTER the fact of the victory. Would you be here with all of your bluster if he had lost?? Ahhhhh that would be a big NO…

Please stop taking credit for everything that has happened good and passing the blame for the bad.

Hey we could play your game… The stock market was rocking and rolling until the dynamics changed in Congress on Tuesday. How many points have we lost since the election 300+….. see how stupid you sound???

Before you try to lay claim to any other victories… give us all of your predictions now!!!! Right you can’t…

    7
  8. We had the choice between Lieberamn or the far left wing daily kos kook kid Ned Lamant…..I chose Lieberman all over again IF it were between those two. Thus the reason for his win…..

    8
  9. Scott, sometimes you are left with nothing but a choice of the lesser-of-two-evils. As for Scott Brown, I was given a list of 112 phone numbers to call. I called 62 before running out of time. Cutoff for calls was 8:30PM on Monday night. All were long distance so my phone bill took a hit. It’s not much, but the experience was well worth it. You’d be amased at some of the responses. I would guess that at least 25% were going to vote simply to vote against Coakley, saying it was a message to Washington. There is seething sentiment out there.

    9
  10. What was the matter with Schlesinger (sp?)?

    10
  11. Unelectable. Therefore, not an option. Non-options are THE FIRST determination considered when formulating a potential campaign. By campaign, I don’t mean political. Wishfull thinking is for politicians, like Obama, and their supporters. You are a wishful supporter. I defend. I attack. I don’t wish for anything. I EARN IT.

    Nick and Donna,

Doesn’t get any better than that now does it… Lieberman is going to endorse Lamont… How do you feel about your lesser of 2 evil pick now????

    12
  13. Donna,

There was a Republican in the Lamont and Lieberman race… so there were three choices besides the other independent choices.

    13
  14. It’s not rocket science, Schlesinger was polling about 9%in the very blue state of CT while the polls showed it to be much closer with Lieberman and the far left nut Lamont…I would take still Lieberman over that daily Kos nut anyday of the week. That is the reason he had the republican support.

Further, I found Alan Schlesinger to be a liar, he had some serious gambling habits, used an assumed name, was sued by some casinos, basically denied it at first, then called it silly…..

    http://connecticutlocalpolitics.blogspot.com/2006/07/dealer-blackjack-schlesinger-was-sued.html

I hated having to vote for Lieberman, but Why the hell would I support someone like Alan Schlesinger???

Again, ….it’s simple and it’s not rocket science.

I had no use for Lieberman then and I have none now. I hope we all work really hard to purge all the socialists (all democrats) out of office in 2010….and I hope the sheep in the blue state of CT wake up and not elect a fresh set of the same. If the deep blue state of MA did it…we sure can do it as well.

  15. Dan Reale says:

    Donna,

The polls are hired out and constructed not to reflect reality, but to project a perception of it. You can ask Frank Luntz, James Carville or any other of these professionals – they’ll all tell you the same thing. It’s a matter of asking the right questions the right way.

For example I could poll “an army veteran in a great war” against “an inexperienced candidate” and an “incumbent in bed with special interests”. The beauty of the approach that the first could be Douglas McArthur, John McCain or Hitler.

Now Alan Schlesinger truly was an awful candidate with no actual answers… but the same was true of Lamont and Lieberman. The only real difference aside from tax and spend on all three was the degree of marketing and PR acumen on staff.

It’s not so much the actual merit of one’s positions if we’re unaware of this fact as it is the ability of one’s paid staff to project merit that isn’t there – or at least things like “electability”, fear, “family values” and whatever else may be used.
