Wow, I don't know about that but a cemetary supporting 3 states

and surrounding communities and "other" facilities in a residential area that

relies on well water (considering the burial techniques) doesn't sound like

it would be good for anyone!

We have freedom of Religion and freedom from Religion.  Let's just hope we can keep it that way.  There is going to be a natural unease with anything the Muslim community does or tries to do especially in the aftermath of 9-11 and the ensuing Mideast incursions.  I do hope we can keep it all in perspective.  Didn't this already go before the Inland wetlands?  Anyone know the results?   I still cannot read whatI am typing on the left Rich. Can you?

Stand by to stand by.

I checked out some of the links from the literaure. The Islamic Society of Hamden operates a madrasah (religious school for kids). They appear to be very strict muslims. Full head covering for women strict rules in their schools. The ccm-org links to a series of mosques from central  CT to Buffalo ( Buffalo Six anyone). Then I found this nugget http://homelandsecurityus.com/…..ge_id=1046

So why do they want a cemetary so far from their base of operations in the middle of no where in relation to their mostly urban centered activities? This wreaks. Sorry for the politically incorrect response but fool me once shame on me….

AHhh yes the madrasahs.  The schools of higher learning like creating devices that blow up    innocents.  I don't care if you worship chickens, some within the group thinks the " Great Satan" threatens the chickens therefore they fell the need to indisciminatly blow up any one not believing in chickens.  Where is the outrage among the peaceful Muslims preching and speaking out against these murderers?  There is some out there but not at the level that we need at this time.  Politically incorrect hell no.  If it was twenty Irishmen or the Buffalo six were red headed white guys I'd be keeping a close eye on redheaded white guys.  The failure to profile in this instance is pure insanity.  Rich

Thanks for the work.  FYI iI don't know about you but I still cannot see what is typed on the right side of the page(about 2-3 words) as I'm typing.  Anyone else have that problem?

This is just one site that bugs me.  Note the press release 2/24/08 that we should embrace the muslim faith.  Let me make a personal observation as I said before we enjoy the freedom of religion as well as the freedom from religion!!!  I don't embrace (personally) any one religion.  I believe that this message should be loud and clear to ANY denomination iE J witnesses, Catholics or cchicken worshipers.  Leave me the hell alone and don't force it down my throat.  If thats politically incorrect then so be it!

I see one big bone of contention in that women must cover their faces?  How do we balance the freedom to do that with the fact that cowards such as Bin Laden and his whack job friends hid under womens clothes and escaped and/or bomed a group of innocents.  Personally I want to see your face if you are sitting on a plane bus or in a crowded area.  How we get there from here and maintain our religious liberty.

BAD MUSLIMS ON ATTACK
Reader comment on item: Islam's Future

Submitted by CatherineIH (United States), Aug 14, 2002

Actually, I like the idea that radical Muslims are bad, mainstream Muslims, good. There are millions of Muslims; they're not going to go away. It would be hard to manage such a big enemy. No doubt the religion itself is doing a lot of good, keeping its members to the straight and narrow, giving them hope and dignity while they scrape for an existence in often harsh circumstances.

Yet these village burnings in Indonesia are simply one instance of worldwide attacks by Muslims against their non-Muslim neighbors.

In Lebanon, which was a few decades ago run by Christians, Muslims have taken over, taking away Christians' lands and businesses and pushing them out of the country.

In Egypt, Muslims are kidnapping Coptic Christians, jailing them in closets and such, scraping Christian tatoos off their arms, forcing these Christians to convert and/or marry Muslims.

In Western Europe, especially in France, Muslims burn synogogues and harass Jews.

In the Philippines, Muslims (a small minority) are fighting with the majority Catholic society.

In Iran and Iraq, Christians are…do they even exist? Ancient Buddhist statues are torn down.

Muslims are fighting ex-Commies in Russia, Hindus in India and Christians in the Balkans.

In Saudi Arabia, Bibles are confiscated at the border and Christians are not welcome

In the US, "moderate" Muslim organizations pronounce their hatred of the US and its culture and fund terrorist organizations

Where are the moderate Muslims? Certainly, many are bullied into silence. But clearly, the Muslim record today is pretty bad.
Christians too, once conquered other lands (Latin America for example) and somewhat forcibly converted the natives. Yet this was several centuries ago. We have changed to peaceful conversion methods.
We could just hope that the Muslims too will change.

However, if we let this this worldwide Muslim rampage to continue, many non-Muslim communities will disappear. Moderate Muslims will be utterly squelched and probably shrink. Why? The radicals will control government jobs and largesse and indoctrinate the youth to their views. (Just like the left is doing in the US today.)

So, it's good that Bush is talking up the "we love (moderate) Muslims line." We should be fierce, though, in dealing with these radicals. This should include not SUBSIDIZING these radicals in Saudi Arabia and elsewhere.

Scary stuff.  I read on Blue State Bluez the seller doesn't even live in CT.  It sounds like he and the realtor are only interested in getting their money IMHO.

We should show up to these meetings with signs that say:

"Legalize Christianity in Saudi Arabia, and we'll approve of your Islamic Center in Canterubyr!"  Simple as that.
